And the winner is...drum roll please...Fiery Fuchsia! If this looks and sounds familiar then you probably read my social media posts on Facebook and Instagram so please feel free to skip this one.
In case you haven't been following along, let me back up a bit. A couple of weeks ago, I asked for help naming one of the three colours I have coming out for fall/winter. I opened up a contest online called "Name That Colour".
Here's a photo of the three colours.
The black is called Midnight Black; the pale blue is Silky Blue; and now the pink is christened Fiery Fuchsia. I like how there is a sky theme going on. Each colour representing a time of day when you might look out to the horizon and see that colour in the sky.
There were two entries for Fiery Fuchsia. Both Betty Healey and Katherine Moynihan came up with this 'glowing' recommendation. I decided to put their names in a hat and randomly draw the winner.
And the winner is the lovely Katherine Moynihan. She will receive a 20% discount coupon to use on her next online purchase of one of our new fall styles. I had the honour and pleasure of meeting Katherine at our annual "Forget for a Moment" Makeover this year. Congrats, Katherine!
A huge thank you to everyone who entered the contest. There were so many awesome and creative entries, it was difficult to choose just one. Here are a few honourable mentions.
Runners-up for sky themed names:
- Electric Fuchsia submitted by Janice Enman MacPherson
- Sunset Pink from Angelika Niedling, Elicia Merkley, Natalie Cox, Natalie Vogt, Betty Healey and Ellen Nadarajah. This entry was the most popular.
- Sunrise Pink entered by Charlie Kaars and Kelly Moore
The most creative and fun awards go to:
- Christen Bennett for Hubba Bubba
- Joanne Denomme for Sex and the City Pink (one of my favourite TV shows from the past)
- Julie Anne Pavel for Everything's Rosy
I have to say this contest was a lot of fun. Every morning I couldn't wait to see the new entries, like a kid in a candy store! Y'all are so creative! I'll have to do it again sometime. Are you game to play again?
In the meantime, keep your eye out for our new fall cardigan, tunic top, and pant. Pre-sale coming soon with delivery the end of October!
